Waterproof phones are waterproof??
So
basically, I have work for fast cell repairs for a while
And
I have seen a lot of water damaged phones and
They
were marked as water resistance
So
it's clear that no phone is guaranteed for waterproof.
Usually,
these phones are supposed to work in water for like 35 to 40 minutes in one the meter of water some phones are good so they work around 1 hour properly in
water
But
if you read the caution carefully you will find out that
There
is no guarantee that the phone will work properly
After
the water exposure.
Water
damage immediately lower the worth of your warranty even if your phone is
supposed to be water-resistant
So
there is a list of waterproof phones that I have seen personally that they have
been still damaged by water
And
there are more than maybe I have to forget the most common one are:
.
iPhone 7 & iPhone 7+
.
Samsung galaxy s5, s6, s6 active, s6 edge, s7 & s7 edge
And
so on.
So
some of these phones are supposed to be water-resistant only got lightly splashed
still damaged by water I also heard by people and in fact, my friend went for
swimming and used their phones to take underwater photos and videos. Then why
do phones stop working and some of them continue?
So
basically, it comes down with what condition a phone that you purchase might
have been waterproof when you bought it. But general wear and tear will degrade
the seals. a lot of these phones have those tiny little protectors to cover the
power ports or slots to make sure that water doesn’t get into the phone. These
tiny little protectors are easy to break and lose and top of that any crack or
damage will cause the water to get into the phone and make your phone water
damaged.
So
whenever you dropped your phone and find a little crack or damage on the phone
not on cover maybe it’s time to be careful before you put your phone on water
and try to fix it with experts in fast cell repairs in Vancouver.
